Buying Guides
How to compare online prices before you buy
Start with two or three sellers and compare the same item at each one. A short checklist makes it easier to decide whether a sale is worth taking.
Start with the model number
Search the exact model number or SKU if it is available. Match the size, capacity, color, condition and what’s included in the box before you compare prices.
Calculate the final price
Add shipping, taxes and required charges. Apply an eligible code, then check the total again. If you will pay for delivery, make sure every comparison uses an equivalent shipping option.
Factor in returns and warranty
A slightly higher price can be worth considering if the seller offers a clearer return window or better warranty coverage. Check who handles claims before deciding.
Keep a price note
Write down the best total and the date you found it. If the purchase can wait, check again later. The number you actually saw is a better reference than the advertised percentage alone.
